For most events, guests select the food first. How do you then pair the appropriate wines to elevate the guest experience? This presentation will discuss the basics of food and wine pairing. It will provide resources for selecting appropriate wines to match foods and tips for developing catering beverage lists appropriate for a wide variety of clientele and occasions.
And we’re in for a special treat. The students from HRTM 363 Quantity Food Production and Service class, under the supervision of Chef John Hartley, will be preparing and serving the lunch during the presentation. All of them are studying for their Bachelor of Science in HRTM.
Visit Las Cruces is providing transportation from Albuquerque to Las Cruces (and the return trip). During our ride from Albuquerque to Las Cruces, Sally Lane will be giving tips on how to keep a group engaged as they travel from point A to point B. This presentation will share activities for any size group as you transport them from one place to another and we will experience engaging activities that can be used for any group. We will also learn how to choose the right activities to match your program goals.
If you are taking the bus, please meet in the NORTH parking lot of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Albuquerque Hotel & Spa (1000 Woodward Place). The bus will leave promptly at 8:00 am and will return after the program and venue tours (leaving Las Cruces around 2:00 pm).

Registrations must be canceled by 5:00 pm Thursday, March 1, 2018 for a refund (minus $5 processing fee). Registrations not cancelled by Thursday, March 1, 2018 and no-shows on event day will not receive a refund.
